- Pick your picnic-perfect spot!
1. The Sundeck’s
These lakeside mini decks are the perfect cove to tuck into for an afternoon picnic. Recline and dine in Adirondack chairs while overlooking the emerald waters of Lac Beauvert. Take your pick of scenic centerpiece – we have a collection of sundecks situated around the lake facing either the Whistlers, Signal or Pyramid Mountain peaks.
2. Whistler’s Plateau
Just a short stroll away from the Main Lodge is Whistler’s Plateau. As the name suggests it provides sprawling views of Whistler’s Mountain and even a glimpse of the golf course’s 16th tee across the lake. The wide vista opens up leaving plenty of space to lay out your gram-ready picnic setup. This perfectly private plateau is situated away from the Main Lodge so the only photo bombers you’ll have to worry about are any lingering wildlife!
3. Beauvert Plateau
If you’re looking for a livelier scene, Beauvert Plateau is your people watching place. Located in the center of the action, it’s the perfect spot to add some dimension to your pictures. Choose from an abundance of backdrops – the Main Lodge, beautiful lake and mountain views or the surrounding suites. While you’re here, add some adventure to your photo repertoire and head down to The Boathouse après picnic for a paddle out on Lac Beauvert!
4. Old Fort Point
Work up an appetite before you indulge – take the hike up to Old Fort Point and revel in the cascading views of Jasper Park Lodge, Jasper Townsite and the surrounding rivers and peaks. There are plenty of flat ground checkpoints on the way up so don’t feel pressure to go all the way the top. This view makes for the perfect panorama or bring your wide-angle lens so the camera can capture it all!
5. Cabin Corner
Nestle into the forest covered corner just outside Outlook and Point Cabin. The grassy area down the hill is perfectly shaded and equally beautiful when the late afternoon sun spills in through the trees. The log exteriors of these rustic cabins are giving cozy getaway vibes, and we are living for it. This is where you’ll want to capture that quintessential checkered blanket shot – oh so Canadiana!
